At a time when we are all reflecting on and celebrating all things British, Chef Prescott has brought the Taste the World Series back to our own shores. A Lancashire lad born and bred, here he presents some of his Great British favourites.
Wood Baked Cheese and Onion Sourdough
Our own oil brushed Sourdough, enhanced with mature Cheddar Cheese, and Onion Flakes, brush with olive oil and toast or grill to maximise flavour.

Potted Salmon, Crab and Prawn, Pink Peppercorns, Lemon Butter.
Port of Lancaster Hot Smoked Salmon, Atlantic Prawns, Devon Crabmeat, bound in Cream Cheese with seasonal garden herbs, topped with Lemon and Pink Peppercorn Butter.

Tatty Scones with Scotch Smoked Haddock Rarebit.
Griddled Potato Cake with a rich Ale and Worcestershire Rarebit with Spring Onions, Smoked Haddock and mature Cheddar.

Corned Beef and Black Pudding Fritters, Three Mustard Mayo.
Corned beef hash with the addition of Bury Black Pudding in a crispy Panko crumb, served with a three Mustard and Maple Mayonnaise, comfort food heaven!

Yorkshire Pudding Toad in the Hole.
Hand made Cumberland chipolatas in a Rosemary infused Yorkshire Pudding – childhood memories enhanced with a punchy Horseradish Cream.

Pressed Lancashire Hot Pot, Pulled Short Rib, Onion and Ale Gravy.
Delicious layered carrot, potato, and onion pressed around delicate slow braised Shortrib, served with a Thyme and Sage infused Onion Gravy – a real treat.
Three Bean Salad.
Crisp vibrant salad, French, Runner and Soy Beans in a Black Pepper and Truffle Oil Dressing.
Tomato and Red Onion Salad.
Seasonal Tomatoes, with Basil, Spring Onions, dressed in a Tarragon Vinaigrette.
Seasonal Pudding with Vanilla Yoghurt, Macerated, Seasonal Berries.
Classic British dessert, forgotten in time but still delicious and refreshing. Packed with seasonal berries enhanced with extra thick Vanilla Yoghurt.
